YAN LORTIE
Born in the Laurentians, Yan Lortie found in painting a space of contrast — a quiet counterpoint to the intensity of life in Montréal and the demands of the corporate world.
THIS IS NOT DIGITAL
His work explores balance within everyday chaos through colour, movement and gesture. The series “This Is Not Digital” is rooted in the physical act of painting and the search for something instinctive, tactile and human.

Music is central to his creative process. Hip-hop, electronic and classical compositions influence the rhythm, energy and emotion behind each work, creating a dialogue between sound and image.
